Producers in Bollywood are interested in remaking the Tamil films which are hits. They are acquiring the rights of these films by paying whooping amounts. Now the Tamil films Kaavalan, Kaaka Kaaka, Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya, Santhosh Subramaniam and Subramaniapuram are being remade in Hindi. The Tamil film Kadhal is also likely to be remade in Hindi.

The film Kadhal which had Bharath and Sandhya in the lead role was a great success. Similarly the film Kaaka Kaaka which had Surya and Jyothika in the lead role was a great success. The film Kaavalan which had Vijay and Asin in the lead roles was released recently.

Now in the Hindi version Salman Khan is donning the role which Vijay did. The film Subramaniapuram directed by Sasikumar was also a great hit.

This film is also being remade in Hindi.Ko is the film which had Jeeva and Karthika in the lead roles. This film is still running in the theatres. This film is also being remade in Hindi. Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya is a film which had Simbhu and Trisha in the lead roles. Since this film was a hit, Gowtham Menon who directed the Tamil version is now remaking this film in Hindi.


Six of these films are expected to be released this year. Apart from these, films such as Kanchana. Naan Mahan Alla, Sami and Siruthai are also being remade in Hindi.

The actress was enjoying her interaction with public and media channels while she was present for the inauguration of a jewellery showroom in Vellore.

Soon as the diehard fans got to know about her arrival, they thronged before the showroom cheering up for their onscreen darling.

To ensure that Thamannah has a safe arrival and departure from the showroom, the owners of jewellery shop and police officials ensured that she has a tight security.
Soon after the inauguration, Thamannah was interacting with media channels and said, "I am delighted with this journey and spellbound over the welcome of my fans. Their love and affection for me is priceless and I owe them a lot.

I feel lucky for having got such lovable fans. Right now I am working in 3 Telugu projects. I am very young girl and I have no clue about my marriage for next three years."

There is huge news for Ajith fans. Mankatha release date has been confirmed for August 31st. Ajith's 50th film is all set to make a big splash at the end of this month. Ayngaran International are releasing the film overseas and they have confirmed the date of its international release.

The makers of the film are very confident about the film because the movie has been getting excellent publicity from the day the project was announced. Social networks like Facebook and Twitter proved to be instrumental as every nugget of information about the film has been lapped up by Ajith's devoted fans. The wait has ended and the game will begin soon after it has been cleared by the censors.

Soundarya Rajinikanth's long awaited Sultan The Warrior, which has Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead, is likely to grace theatres in January 2012. The film is part animation, part live and will probably be in 3D. The film, which was launched in January 2008, was delayed due to the animation works done at Soundarya's Ocher Studios. There are also reports that the team has currently shortlisted three Tamil names for the film and an official announcement is expected soon.

Sultan The Warrior is likely to be released in 18 languages, including English, Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. 95% of the film is complete. Music by Oscar winner A.R. Rahman is likely to hit the stands in the near future. Soundarya Rajinikanth has directed and produced this animated extravaganza.

Vijay had arranged for a party to celebrate the completion of his portions in the Shankar directed Nanban. This party was held at a posh hotel in Chennai in which the entire crew members of Nanban participated.

And a surprise visitor at this party was Mankatha’s director Venkat Prabhu. Vijay was reported to have told Venkat that Mankatha’s trailer was so impressive and also put in a word to director Shankar to watch the film.

Venkat Prabhu and Shankar also discussed Vijay’s forthcoming release Velayutham during this event and all three were lavish in their praises for the other. There was huge expectation when Venkat arrived at the venue that Ajith would also grace the occasion as he is Vijay’s close friend. But the star could not make it as he was tied up in Billa 2 shooting.

Mankatha, directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri and Cloud Nine, is all set for release soon.

When shooting for Mankatha started in mid-2010 - as Ajith's 50th film - it was scheduled to release on his birthday, May 1, 2011. But it never happened.

Now, the latest we hear is that Venkat Prabhu and the others behind the project are going all out to get the film released on September 1.

This will enable them to cash in on the big Vinayaka Chathurthi-Ramzan weekend, which will ensure a fantastic opening for the film.

Let us hope that Venkat’s 'Mission Mankatha' succeeds.
